JIMMY MINARDI
Founder & Co-President

Jimmy Minardi, Chief of East Hampton Village Ocean Rescue, founded East End Ocean Rescue (EEOR) 14 years ago from an inherent need he saw for additional water safety education and available resources. His goal was to decrease rescue response times and further help to save lives along the East End's beautiful beaches that overflow with vacationers each summer.
Jimmy completed the American Red Cross swimmer / lifesaving program advancing from Beginner Swimmer in 1970, to pool lifeguard in 1977, to a Stillwater lifeguard to a bay lifeguard, Ocean Lifeguard in 1979 and ARC WSI Instructor in 1985. He is a second generation, ocean rescue swimmer, following in his father’s footsteps – a Fire Island ocean rescue swimmer. From 1984 to 87 he developed his own water babies program.
Jimmy has lifeguarded at every lifeguard tower from Cooper's Beach in Southampton all the way to Montauk Ditch Plains. He's been been an ocean guard at Cooper's Beach, Scott Cameron, Sag Main, Mecox, Georgica Association, Georgica Beach , Main Beach, Two Mile Hollow, Indian Wells, IGA , and Ditch Plains Montauk .In the winter he ditches the water for snow and is a Certified National Ski Patroller OEC in Colorado.
SEAN DALY
Co-President

Sean became a lifeguard in the Hamptons in 1989. His passion for water safety and lifesaving inspired him to join the elite NYPD SCUBA Team. Sean has been a proud member of the team for over 15 years. He is currently assigned to training the new team members on the art of water rescue. Additionally, he volunteers time to EEOR and helps train water rescue agencies in the Hamptons.
Sean is very approachable, so if you see him on the beach, say hello. He is also a long time lifeguard, a member of East Hampton Town Volunteer Ocean Rescue, and a NYPD officer on the Scuba Search and Rescue Squad.
